Is the Alta waterproof?

Yes. The Alta uses a functional waterproof shell fabric that can withstand a 10,000 mm (10K) water column before being penetrated. Its seams are sealed with adhesive waterproof tape to help prevent water from entering through the stitching. The fabric is also finished with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, which changes the surface tension so water forms droplets that roll off rather than being absorbed.

How warm is the Alta?

The Alta uses water-resistant PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Active+ for lightweight warmth and breathability, making it ideal for cooler temperatures and transitional weather without the bulk of a traditional Winter coat. PrimaLoft® is a lightweight synthetic insulation that retains warmth while supporting breathability and mobility, making it well suited to active use, layering, and changing conditions without the bulk of a traditional down parka.

How do the Alta's fabrics support movement and comfort?

The Alta combines soft, lightweight 3L Micro Denier with a flexible four-way durable stretch weave. The stretch fabric contains 86% GRS-certified recycled nylon and 14% spandex, allowing the jacket to move easily during commuting, cycling, skiing, and other active use without adding unnecessary bulk.
